Victor Carson
Principal of Film Buff Productions, Producer/Writer
comes from a background in management, having recently completed production
on the documentary projects;
"The Jim Conway Blues" ; an
award winning 54-minute documentary, which attained a two week theatrical release at Sydney's historic Valhalla Cinema
in December 1999 (a rare achievement for documentaries). Profiling wheelchair bound blues musician Jim Conway
who has Multiple Sclerosis, the film was a highlight of the Australian
Blues Festival in Goulburn, NSW in February 2000. The documentary
was broadcast on SBS Television to wide critical acclaim and performed
extremely well in the ratings.
"Hot Gospel" ; a 54-minute documentary
profiling the Black Gospel group The Elementals tour of Vanuatu.
"Sea Stories" ; a 30 minute documentary
looking at some quirky characters that gravitate to Bondi Beach.
"Cricket Legends" ; a 25 minute documentary
Vic is currently producing for the NSW Cricket Umpires Association.
"The Real Village People" ; a documentary
Vic produced for SOCOG profiling the Olympic Village Workforce.
"The Comeback Kings";
a 90 min documentary on musicians Colin and Denny Burgess- former members
of AC/DC, Masters Apprentices, The Throb and the Tiny Tim Band - attempting
a comeback to their glory days of Rock'n'roll.
Victor Carson is
currently producing another documentary following a cricket theme, "Howzat?",
which commenced principal photography in January 2000, a tennis-related
documentary which commenced principal photography early 2002, and a
feature film drama centred around horse racing, currently in script
development.
